Denmark - Highlights Of Copenhagen

Question
Dear Chris:

We will be in Copenhagen June 29th. and 30th before we board a cruise ship.  We have a half day city highlights tour ( The Little Mermaid, Amalienborg Palace Square, Christiansborg Palace, City Hall Square) included with our trip.  Is there anything else that you think is a must see or do in or around the city or countryside?

We have 2 different full day tours that we could choose.  One includes (Funen island, Odense, Hans Christian Anderson Museum & home, Funen Village).  The other one goes to (Frederiksborg castle, Fredensborg Palace, Elsinore, Kronborhg Castle).  These are extras that we will have to pay for.  Do you think one of these would be worth doing or would you suggest something else?

Also, can you recommend any good seafood restaurants. We would greatly appreciate any help you can give us.

Thanks,  Don & Peggy

Answer
Dear Don & Peggy
Thanks for your mail.
It's always difficult to give an advise not knowing your ages, special interests and budget but I'll do my best.

1. The cityhighlight tour seems reasonable and since it's guided you´ll don´t have to bother finding your way.

2. There are several different museeums that you may enjoy visiting within the citycenter:
Check this link:
http://www.dmol.dk
The National Museeum has got an exhibition; Dawn of the human spirit, about the human mankind and the photo gallery presents the 100 most fameous pictures from the National Geografics. Apart from that you may as well enjoy parts of the stationary exhiobition about the danish national history. Entrence; 40 D.kr. Weednesdays; free.
Check this link; www.natmus.dk
The museeum is placed behind the Christiansborg palace and you'll enjoy the backyard of the palace. The army use to train horses here.

If you are in for arts you will probably enjoy the national museeum of arts. Just the architecture of the new building is a lovely light place to rest for a while.

3. Speaking of visiting Fuenen. Not saying that this trip is not worth it, the 2. daytour seeing Kronborg castle etc. is definitely a good value daytour with interesting historical sites.
If you are still thinking of Fuenen check
Museeums at Fuenen: http://www.odmus.dk/

4. Concerned seafood restaurants you'll find round 100 within Copenhagen. Some friends of mine recommended Sticks´´n shushi.
Try this homepage unfortunately it's in danish:
http://www.aok.dk/Copenhagen/Restauranter/Fisk_og_skaldyr/
(vis på kortet means show on map)
5. My girlfriend and I are going to Portugal on the 28th which means that my 60 sqm flat placed within the city map will be waiting for you if you like.
You will be able to reach it by the citybus directly from the airport. 30 minutes and 150 meters walk and you'll be there.
Dont bother about payment

Finally I'm hoping that you'll be satisfied with the information. Please let me now if you have certain interests and i'll do my best to help you. As well let me know if you want to use my appartment.
Greetings from Denmark
Chris,Male, age;25,occupation; Student-teacher
