Question
Hi, I have 2 crowns at the front that have a big gap now as i havent been able to afford to get them replaced, anyway i have been getting alot of pain so i had a wisom tooth out, 3 months later there is still a little hole where they havent healed yet and i am getting alot of pain underneath the gumline in the tooth next door..
Could all this pain be because of the gap in the crown or is it the wisdom tooth and how do i get rid of it, its like a a pain where you have something in your mouth all the time as apose to a sharp pain..
Incidently all these problems seem to have come about now i have stopped smoking this past year.

Hi Rich
i doubt that this pain is related to the gap in the crowns - more likely is that there is a problem with the adjacent tooth. You should get your dentist to check this out for you.
Giving up smoking is a good thing and I promise has nothing to do with the problems you are experiencing.
