Question
I am 6 weeks, 4 days pregnant and yesterday had a filling with local anaesthetic 'lignospan'. I was assured this was OK given my condition. I look up a safety data sheet on the internet regarding 'lignospan' and it is not recommened in early pregnancy! I am very concerned, can you give me any more information regarding this anaesthetic and early pregnancy please?

Lignospan is safe in normal use in pregnancy. All anaesthetics have possible side-effects, and may have deleterious effects if normal dose is exceeded.
However, under normal use there is no problem - don't worry!!
