Question
After spending 800.00 to ry and save a tooth..I have to have a dental implant..I am overwhelmed by the 3,000.00 price tag due to medical bills from a surgery last year and other..well "signs of the times". I heard of a dental school at Nova University where one could get dental procedures at discount rates. Do you know of any contact information for such a program.  And do you think it is a good or bad idea? From, Philomena

Answer
Dear Philomena:  I know Nova University very well, having served as an Adjunct Clinical Professor there for over one year.  I believe you have a good idea in wanting to contact them.  I can give you the phone number I have for their Oral Surgery Department.  954-262-7153.  Remember, an implant represents the root portion of a tooth.  After the implant is inserted, you will need a crown placed.  Good luck.  dd
