Dentistry - pusing after apicectomy
Expert: Frederick R. Liewehr DDS, MS, FICD - 11/8/2009
Question Hi,
I am from india, i came here for my graduation, before coming to here i had undergone a apicectomy on my chin for lower front teeth. It happened 3 months back, all these three months no problem but now i observed pus is forming at the place of operation. can u help me what antibiotics i have to use to control the pus and stop it completely. Right now i am not using any medicines.
please help me.
Answer No. You need to have the area examined and radiographed by a competent endodontist, and most likely you will need to have the surgery performed correctly. Clearly something is wrong. Antibiotics do not "cure" anything. You need to have the cause removed or the infection will persist.
