Dentistry/Front teeth options

Question
I have plenty of dental work that needs done that I've put off the last couple years because like so many people I have no insurance and the economy hasn't been great. I do have four front top teeth that are bad and obviously I want them fixed for self esteem and my job. I'd like to know what options there are for front teeth, will a dentist do the work I want now without the other work that needs done? Two years ago I went for a consult and didn't have the kind of money they were talking about for vaneers. Cheaper alternatives?

Answer
Hi Coleen,

A dentist will probably do the front teeth first, as long as you understand that the other teeth need treatment as well. He/she doesn't want you to think that only the front teeth are a problem. However, you also don't want to keep pushing this other work off for too long, as more destruction is probably occurring in the meantime.

The only other cheaper alternative is bonding. This will not look as esthetic, and will most likely need to be redone in a few years time. However, it is a less costly treatment.

Please let me know if you need anything else.
