Dentistry/cerec crown

Question
Yesterday I received my 1st crown, a cerec. The back side is rough and snags dental floss. It seems like a bad fit to me. Am I expecting too much from a tooth that is no longer "real". Can it be fixed or should it be replaced?

Answer
Hi Sandy,

It's normal for the tooth to feel rough for a few days after insertion.
The floss shouldn't snag though. If that still is happening in another few days, I would ask your dentist to recheck that. If the crown is still rough at that time, then it can be polished up at that time too.

However, as you mentioned, it is a fake tooth. So you will need to give it some time to get used to it.

Let me know if you need anything else.
