Question
I lost all of my top teeth to loss of bone.  I have a few bottom teeth.  However, i am losing gum in front and in back of these bottom teeth.  Can you recommend a specialist to me to build up my bottom teeth gums so i won't lose them.  I can literally feel underneath my teeth with my tongue.  I live near Torrance or Long Beach, California.

Dear Patricia:
I am sorry to hear the you are losing your teeth.  However, if you are already feeling your teeth exposed, they might not be salvageable.  The best advise I can give you is to go and see a Prosthodontist and come up with a proper treatment plan.  If the teeth can be saved with some periodontal procedures, let the Prosthodontist refer you to a Periodontist of his/her choice that can deliver the proper treatment.
I do not want you to go to a Periodontist without a proper prosthodontic (restorative) treatment plan.  You will end up spending lots of money, time, and aggravation on surgical procedures that might not be necessary.
