Dentistry/teeth cancer

Question
I went to my dentist for a filling to be done under the gum line.
I ended up having 2 side by side. He said it was not a cavity or decay but a reabsorption of the tooth, something like tooth cancer/have you heard of this or what can you tell me about it?

Answer
There is such a thing as invasive cervical resorption, which you can Google if you want more information. I have NEVER seen this affect more than one tooth, so I am somewhat doubtful of his diagnosis. It is NOTHING at all like a cancer. It is simply a case when something, and it is unknown at this time what that is, stimulates certain cells in your body to attack the tooth.
