Question
I had an apicoectomy two years ago. It failed one year later. Went to new endodontis who did a second. It failed within three months and he did another one. Total of three.
What is the success rate with first, second and third? Tooth was either #11 or #12.

Answer
Hi Paul,

Ever time we treat a tooth over again, no matter what the procedure, the chances of success decrease. It's really impossible to give you numbers without examining you, because every situation and patient is different. After three apicos, you're getting to the point where another one might not be a good idea.

Hope this helps.
