Question
I am having the tooth behind my eye tooth extracted.  If I replace it with a  permanent bridge, how many crowns will I need on each side of the replacement tooth.

Answer
To have a fixed restoration the eye tooth and the tooth behind the one you're having removed should be the supporting teeth. It would be most prudent and in your best interest to have an implant placed where the tooth is being removed. This will leave the two teeth mentioned intact. This is really a slam dunk implant case unless there are containdications.Go with the implant.
