Question
I'm already 27 years and had this partial dentures for my 2 upper front teeth (9 and 10) for almost 5 years. I notice that the dentures is pushing my teeth forward. I am planning to get my teeth on braces to correct it. Isn't it too late?

Answer
Dear Renard:
It is never too late. However, I want to recommend to you not to plan this yourself.  You are dealing with teeth in the "esthetic zone", what others see and what you use to bite, speak and smile with.  Go see a Prosthodontist first.  The Prosthodontist is the specialist in restorative, cosmetic, and implant dentistry and will be the proper person to plan your treatment and finish it with proper implants and crowns.  There is no reason (except financial) as to why you, as a young person should walk around with a removable denture.  Let the Prosthodontist recommend an Orthodontist with whom he/she can work to get your teeth positioned properly so that proper implants/fixed restorations can be placed to replace the missing teeth.
