Dentistry/Wisdom Teeth Extraction

Question
Today, March 4th, I had all four of my wisdom teeth taken out. All four were impacted and im 16, I dont know if that will make a difference, but I was wondering about these holes from it. I'm not in any pain at all! But I just want to eat regular food again. How long does it take for them to heal enough so that i can eat solids??

Answer
Dear Gina,

I generally counsel patients to stay on a soft diet for a full week, especially in cases like yours where all four quadrants are affected, because there is no way to avoid chewing on at least one of the sockets. After that, you can slowly phase in the more substantial foods as comfort permits.

Good luck!
