I was wondering if you ever heard of a product called Flouridex? It was introduced to me by my dentist, and he said I should use it for my gums. I have swollen gums, but slightly, and my gums are causing my tooth pain. So, is this product any use for that, and what is it used for? is it really that great? I thin it is called Flourdex daily defense.
Answer Hi Jane,
Thanks for the question. To the best of my knowledge Flouridex is a concentrated fluoride rinse usually recommended as an anticavity rinse or toothpaste. I am not familiar with the use of this product for issues with inflamed gums. As long as you do not use this material longer than two weeks I do not see any problems using it as long as you use as directed and do not swallow it. But again, I personally am not aware of using it for periodontal issues. It can be used for sensitive teeth as it will help remineralize the root surface and should provide some relief of sensitivity. If you chose to use this I wish you best and would appreciate you letting me know if it works for you. Best of luck.
