Question
i went to the dentist recently and normally when i go to the dentist they do a cleaning. nop not this dentist he filled up what ever cavities he found and then after world said the front teeth were alittle yellow so that was the only cleaning really he rubed it very quickly with a brushing tool.he did remove the plaque with the tool though. what give? is tooth cleaning not needed? he said the teeth are clean and dont need it? but dont dentist also clean between teeth? i thin i remember last time they sprayed water i think between the teeth. and scrubbed the teeth clean.

Answer
a cleaning means you scale off tartar or calculus and remove plaque...you then polish the teeth at the end. sometimes people use ultrasonic cleaners which spray water but you still need to do hand scaling as well. i would ask the dentist specifically if this was done. good luck
