Question
Fluoride application is used to prevent decay. Is there any application to teeth to prevent it from yellowing? And what is in your opinion the best way to prevent teeth from yellowing?

Answer
Dear Jack,

There is no Fluoride application to prevent yellowing.  In my opinion, the best way to maintain a bright smile is to use a good quality electric tooth brush and to occasionally us a home whitening preparation such as Crest Whitestrips or custom trays made at your dentist's office with a carbamide peroxide formula inside.
