Question
I had my left bottom wisdom tooth pulled at 11 this morning it is now 930 pm. When is it safe to take the gauze off? Also I noticed a white spot in the middle of it, is that anything I need to worry about.

Answer
Anna,
After an extraction, you can take the gauze out after 1 hour.  If there is a lot of bleeding, reapply gauze for another hour.  Please follow up with the dentist who removed the tooth to evaluate that white spot and healing.
