Dentistry/brown discolour

I discovered this brown discoloured spot on the base of the tooth, near the gum.

What is it? Do I need to go to the dentist or can I treat/remove it by myself?

Never had this before, male, 25. Routine is brushing every morning and evening with toothpaste that has fluor in it.

See pictures, thanks in advance.

in my opinion the color is the dentin of the root.
It is most likely that your brushing has worn away the white enamel that covers the dentin.
I would not be surprised if the tooth was getting sensitive to hot and cold.
There is no treatment other than, use a small soft brush, very gently, once a day, with a good fluoride toothpaste.
Hope this helps,
Note that seeing a dentist to confirm my suspicion is a good idea.
All the best,
Dr. Moss
