Question
Had a whole root removed by and oral surgeon 3 months ago, tooth was crowned and part of a fixed bridge.Area where procedure was performed still Is aching, family dentist took new xrays saw no infection and does not know why area is aching. Could this area still be healing?

Answer
3 months is a long time to have residual pain. i would go back to the oral surgeon for an opinion. he/she knows exactly what was done where and can take a look at things and give you an answer. you have ruled out infection. perhaps some bone is exposed still...this can cause pain. sometimes nerve endings act up for a number of months post-surgery. let the oral surgeon take a look

good luck
