Question
Ok here goes. Where can i get low cost/no cost dentistry for my brother who has no money is on a fixed in come and because of a blood disorder his teeth have been neglected. Not to mention a "wife" that left him hi and dry! It is at a point now that they need to be pulled. Any place where we could cut costs would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Dear Lisa,

First, your brother should check to see if he qualifies for Medicaid benefits if he is in a state that provides dental Medicaid benefits to adults-- admittedly, not too many left.

Failing that, he should check whether there are local hospitals or dental schools that provide dental service to the public. Institution-based health care is generally less expensive than services in a private practice setting.

You can contact you local dental society for assistance in procuring low cost dental care. See the following link to find your local dental society:

Hope this helps...
