She crys w/ pain, after 2days of asprin's, I took her to a dentist today, she prescribed amoxicillin, said that she has an infection after reviewing X-rays w/ me, & she need a root canal, they are very expensive & needed to find a specialist that was the best at what he does. My questions; because she's so young is their any other way around this, the pain & having to get it redone later in life is crazy, I have no insurance,Chip Assist. wont work.

Answer
is this on a baby tooth? if so, then consider getting the tooth out. if it is a permanent tooth then you may not have any choices. if a tooth is infected and needs a root canal, you only have two choices: root canal to save it or extract it. i believe in always saving teeth. one option might be a dental school. work done there is reasonably priced. i wish i had another idea but there really are not any. good luck,
