Question
Well i am having my root canal done tomarrow and my post/core on monday. My question is Because of my schedule and the denist schedule I will not be able to get a crown for 4 to 5 weeks. I asked him if that was to much time and he told me there should be no problem waiting that long to get a crown. Is this right?

Answer
There is a little bit of a risk waiting 4-5 weeks. A root canal tooth often becomes brittle and can break. Ask your dentist to move you up to any cancellation he/she might have. And also ask him/her to take the tooth down a little out of occlusion (to take it out of stress). Lastly just be super careful with it...chew everything on the other side. These things should help. But nothing is ever guaranteed. Good luck,
