Dentistry/Slow-growing teeth

Question
My daughter is eight years old.  Her adult teeth are extremely slow-growing.  For example her two front teeth seem to have been little more than stumps for months and months (maybe a year or more).  What does this mean?  Is it a problem?

Your advice will be greatly appreciated.

i need to see your daughter in person to answer this. i cannot diagnose over the internet. you need to get her in to her dentist for some xrays and an exam. maybe the teeth are getting caught under baby teeth in the area. maybe there is too much crowding there...and not enough space. if your dentist cannot answer this question, then an orthodontist exam would not be a bad idea. maybe an opinion from this type of specialist would help. make an appointment right away so you can put your mind at ease.

good luck,
