Question
My teeth seem to be very porous, they stain very quickly (I drink lots of tea). After cleaning they are pearly white and in just 2 months they are very dark again. Is there anything I can do to keep the teeth white? I'm afraid of spending money on professional whitening if it only will last a few months like my regular cleanings.

Answer
Erika,

Drinking lots of tea is like throwing dirt at a clean window.  You can try a whitening toothpaste.  However, as long as lots of tea is consumed, it is likely that the teeth will be stained dark faster than the stain can be removed.  Sorry that I am unable to offer a better solution.

Best wishes,

Steve
