Question
I have a question ref TMJ.   How can I ease the clicking when I chew?

Also, I have a filling in the front of my mouth. I have rinsed a couple of times with diluted peroxide.  I am told that the peroxide will mot whiten the fillings.  Will it continue to whiten my teeth or will it just reach a level of whiteness and stop.  I would not like to have white teeth with darker fillings.  I don't plan to pay for new fillings right now.

Please advise - thanks

Answer
Dear Jennifer:
FIrst, I am not a dentist, just someone who has had TMJ, trying to help others, so I can't answer your second question regarding whiter teeth.

As far as the clicking, I can't answer that either, sorry, because I did not have clicking with my TMJ, just a lot of pain over the jaw joint, etc.  Please check with your dentist on these questions.

Good luck.

I AM NOT A DENTIST!!!!!!!! PLEASE DON'T ASK ME ANY QUESTIONS THAT SHOULD BE ANSWERED BY A DENTAL PROFESSIONAL..but I have had TMJ so I can answer questions on how I finally got my TMJ under control. I have several things I have done to treat myself, plus suggestions on what professionals to seek out, exercises, the best nightguard devices, etc..

Experience

I've had TMJ for over six years.
