Question
I have a 16 month baby girl and I noticed this morning that her front teeth seemed to be more translucent at the bottom than at the top of the tooth. I was concerned that this may be some kind of reduction in the enamel although I can't think of a reason for this as she eats plenty of fruit and vegetables and is not given unhealthy snacks. Any advice would be appreciated.

Answer
Relax...most teeth are more transluscent at the edges than near the gumline. This is normal dental anatomy. But I cannot tell you anything for sure over the internet. These things need to be seen in person. Bring her in to your dentist and have him/her look at things and let you know if all is okay. Good luck,
