Dentistry/abcesses and bone infections, plus dry socket infections

Question
Each time l have had an abscess in recent years it has resulted in an extraction, dry socket infection, many courses of antibiotics and a bone infection too. It takes many weeks for my gum to recover and also my physical well being. Although l am a low dosage smoker-l do not smoke when l have had this treatment until recovered.
Do you have any ideas or suggestions as to why this keeps happening? How, besides salt water rinses  and not smoking this can be prevented?
I am 43 and have always care particularly for my teeth, especially as l have a dairy allergy and do not have calcium in my diet. I began a calcium supplement which is dairy free 1 year ago.
Thank you in advance for you reply.

Answer
HI,
I would advise you go see a good dentist on a regular basis for a full series of x-rays and a full exam and treatment of any condition including deep cleanings and fillings and crowns. Most abscesses are either caused from deep decay/root canal problems that were not treated in time, or gum disease that wasn't treated in time. Most abscesses could have been prevented by regular dental care.

Best of Luck
