Answer
Dear Yom:  I am not a dentist but I have TMJ.  I cannot answer your questions about wisdom teeth, fillings, crowns.  YOu would have to get an opinion from a dentist. I think if you are unsure of what the dentist told you, you should seek out another dentist's opinion. I do know, from my own experience, that wisdom teeth are usually extracted because they are not used much and can easily get cavities.

I AM NOT A DENTIST!!!!!!!! PLEASE DON'T ASK ME ANY QUESTIONS THAT SHOULD BE ANSWERED BY A DENTAL PROFESSIONAL..but I have had TMJ so I can answer questions on how I finally got my TMJ under control. I have several things I have done to treat myself, plus suggestions on what professionals to seek out, exercises, the best nightguard devices, etc..

Experience

I've had TMJ for over six years.
