I have 8 wisdoms as well. They've determined to pull the 4 erupted ones now, and the 4 impacted ones later.

I am just a little confused by the answer provided. The person, I am assuming is a dentist, says there are only four wisdom teeth. I, like the woman's husband, have EIGHT wisdom teeth. I go in to have them all removed next week.I have been having migraines and sinus problems and my surgeon recommended having them all out at once to save on expenses and healing time.

I had 8 wisdom teeth that came out at different times...hard to prove but I knew it. My daughter also had 8 wisdom teeth,4 were impacted and 4 were popping through. X-rays were taken by the dental surgeon and they were all pulled at once.
