The pain going the next day then severe pain with a hot drink looks like a nerve dying in one of the teeth- most likely one of the crown prepared teeth. Good advice to see a dentist. I would check all teeth on the side of the mouth in pain to see if any were sensitive to tap on and likely do a cold test on teeth on that side- especially the two crowns. A negative response to a cold test and a tooth that is tender to tap on, would mean that tooth likely needs a root canal treatment. From memory one in 5 teeth prepared for crowns go on to need root canal treatments. In the early pain stages it can be hard to pick which tooth has the nerve that is dying. As the symptoms worsen and the pain becomes constant, you get sensitivity to heat and tenderness to percussion (tapping), then it becomes easier to identify the correct tooth needing root canal treatment.
