I'm experiencing same symptoms.  I have no cold or runny nose either.  It a couple of weeks ago with ache in front teeth, then to one molar prompting me to make a dental appointment.  I woke up in middle of night with extreme pain in my teeth on right side.  Ibuprofen didn't help ease pain.  Teeth became sensitive to liquids.  I feared serious tooth problem.  X-rays showed no problem with teeth.  Was referred to Entodontist who also found no problem with teeth and suggested sinus infection as cause of pain, since pain and swelling spread to face as well by that point.  Started regimen with antibiotics, Tylenol, and decongestant.  Pain and sensitivity to teeth and gums increased and spread to jaw and lower teeth, then eventually the ear, neck, and tongue became affected, with pain moving around from spot to spot.  Sometimes it hurt to breath and to touch my face.  Applying wet heat pack to face triggered pain.  Sinus pressure increased, and taking decongestants help somewhat. Couldn't sleep laying down, it hurt too much for face to press against pillow, even lying on back.  Slept in recliner for a week.  Contacted the doctor's office and the nurse said that she has had the same problem and many calls coming in with similar symptoms.  They attribute to a virus outbreak that inflames sinus cavity, gums, and it takes about 3-4 weeks to run its course.  It causes intense inflammation of maxillary sinus affecting nerves of teeth and surrounding tissues.  It's the worst sinus inflammation I have ever experienced. After two weeks, it's beginning to improve.  My teeth are still sensitive to hot and cold beverages.  I have to nuke my beverages in the microwave to lukewarm warm so as not to trigger throbbing pain from cold liquids.  This is a horrible virus and I sympathize with any one who is afflicted. Just hang in there, it does get better with time.
