Question
What can I do to stop gum recession from getting worse? I floss regularly and more careful how, and am careful with brushing but nothing seems to make a difference.Does it ever stop? What happens if it receeds even more--surgery?
My advice to you would be to see a periodontist. Recession can be the result of underlying gum disease. Surgery is an option in some cases, but a periodontist can ake that determination. Gentle brushing is important to prevent further recession, but the cause of the recession must first be identified and eliminated.
