Dermatology - Bumps after boils.

Expert: Uribe - 10/21/2009

Question
I had a nickel sized boil on my lower back for about two weeks and it started to go away. Then not long after another developed right above it that grew to about the size of a golf ball. I got medical attention from my doctor who lanced it then gave me some medication to take for about a week. The boil pretty much went away (pain, redness, and overall size), and a second check up led my doc to tell me it was gone. The only thing is its been about 3 to 4 weeks and I still have a few small bumps under the skin that seem to be getting smaller over time but I'm not entirely sure. Is this just some sort of scar tissue under the skin left over from the boils that I have to wait for to go away or is it something I should seek more help for? There are three bumps. One from the first boil, a larger one from the second larger boil, and one that what I'm guessing what was the start of a third boil then never got to large.

I'm 24 and never had to much trouble with boils before, let alone one that was as big as the second one I described, so I'm just a bit concerned.
