Dermatology - Penis Moles

Expert: Michael S. Fisher, Ph.D., M.D. - 10/24/2009

Question
I HAVE MOLES ON MY PENIS FOR AS LONG AS I CAN REMEMBER, BUT RECENTLY SOME OF THEM HAVE GROWN IN SIZE AND A FEW ARE RAISED. NOTHING TOO EXTREME, BUT I HAVE ALSO NOTICED THAT THERE ARE MORE APPEARING,OTHER THEN 3-4 THE OTHERS ARE SMALL, BUT SLIGHTLY RAISED. THEY ARE BROWN IN COLOR, SAME AS OTHERS ON MY BODY THAT ARE FLAT. THEY DO NOT HURT OR CAUSE PAIN OF ANY KIND. MY WIFE DOESN'T SEEM TO MIND THE ADDED STIMULATION, BUT I WAS JUST CONCERNED. BECAUSE I JUST SEEM TO BE GETTING MORE ALL AT ONCE. I'VE COUNTED OVER 20 SMALL ONES. ANY IDEAS?

Answer
Without seeing the skin lesion it is difficult to make a diagnosis. However, the first thing to worry about is genital warts. You need to visit your local dermatologist to make sure of the diagnosis. If you have genital warts, they are treated with liquid nitrogen or topical prescription medication like Aldara or Condylox.
