Dermatology/scabies

Question
I was diagnosed with scabies about 3 years ago. At the time it went untreated because I did not have medical insurance and i thought it was a rash/reaction I could take care with household remedies. Well I went to the doctor and he told me it was scabies and i got a cream for it and they have been gone ever since. Well they are gone and haven't come back but I am left with these dark spots all over. I went to the dermatologist and she said it was an inflammation and gave me steroid cream. They have lighted up a lot especially my hands and feet but every where else is still noticeable (arms, legs & stomach). I've used bleaching creams and soaps. I also used bio oil and it seemed to work but when I stopped using it they seem to show up again. I do not know what else to use. My mother got me Lumedia. Should I use it? What other things might help clear up my skin and will they stay forever?? I really hate these things and want to get rid of them!

Answer
The dark spots usually resolve in time which is 4-12 months.  However some patient like my wife took 5 years for the inflammation to subside.  Your options are bleaching creams like Triluma used one a day.  If there is redness then you would need a topical cortisone like prescription Tri-Luma.  There is no easy fix for your skin condition, it just takes time!!
