Dermatology/Topical steroid

Question
Hi I was also wondering, how do I know if the topical steriod I used caused skin thinning to my one month old son? Is it permanent or will the skin return to its normal state? what will happen if the skin is thinner?

Answer
A change in pigment is not considered thinning of the skin. It would be very difficult or almost impossible for a steroid to thin the skin in one month. The steroid would have to be the wrong strength as in a class one like Clobetasol used on the face.
