Question
My daughter is 1/4 Korean. She has a slight olive tone. I notice some days she looks more tan than others. She is inside mainly bc of the cold so it is not just a summer thing. Is that normal in children that have more pigment? Some days look whiter some day more olive tone. Seems more tan in am but no definite pattern.
Can it change so quickly?
Thanks
Heidi

Answer
Yes pigment color can change depending on what your daughter does. If the skin gets dry or irritated the skin can darken called post inflammatory hyper pigmentation. Sun through windows can also cause increase pigmentation. The light on the skin can also cause the color of the skin to change. I would not worry.
