For the past 10 years I have had a rash reoccur at all different times on scar tissue I got from a severe car accident 10 years ago.  It appears, almost as a bug bite of some sort with intense itching, then changes to burning.  It will go away in about 7-10 days as long as I don't scratch it.  If I do scratch it, it will spread in that area of the scar tissue.  It has never occured anywhere on my body that did not have scar tissue.  ButI have 3 areas (hand, elbow, knee) that it occurs in.  I saw a dermatolist right after my accident and never figured out what it was.  It is very irritating and uncomfortable. I just want to get to the bottom of it so I can treat it.  Any suggestion of what it might be would be GREATLY appreciated.  Thank you
