Use tea tree oil on all suspected bumps. Use it at full strength two three times daily by using a cue tip to apply it on and inch around it. The boil will dry up within days (without lancing). Throwing more antibiotics at a germ that is becoming increasingly resistant to them is pointless unless absoloutely neccessary. Buy tea tree oil at any herb store or at Walmart for 5- 10 dollars.

I had an infectious boil or carbuncle in my nose back in July of this year that was quite disabling in nature. It started out as a small bump and in less than a week it grew into a full blown sore that was steadily pumping out all of this greenish/yellowish pus. Finally it started to subside but not before it burst trouhg the outside of my nostril. To make matters worst it then spread to the center of my nose, which is when I deciced to go on to the doctor. The doctor looked at it , but did not swab it to determine which bacteria it was.
I asked if it was a staph infection and she replied that it could be and it was some sort of bacterial infection, so she started to prescribe one of the mycin antibiotics and then she changed it to Bactrim
and about 7 days later I felt better and it was just about gone away after the 10th day and final pill.
I should have gone to the doctor right away and did not but for sure I will if it should recur. I still wonder if it could have been MRSA
