I have a hard time with these verification things...not sure if it's an r or an i...so I have to do it 2 or 3 times...grrrrrrr

Answer
Penny,

There are three different things you can do.

1) The *smartest* thing is to contact the funeral home and ask them for copies of the digital photos.  This will get you the highest quality pictures.

2) You can (using special software) go through the DVD, and take "screenshots" of each photo.  The resolution of video is 720x480 (all video is this resolution).  Which means the quality will be very, very low.

3) You coudl use software to "rip" the DVD into a format for editing - it will not produce results any better than suggestion 2.

Me?  I'd get the funeral home to give me the digital pictures.

Best,

Jeff
