Question Hi Brian hope you can help my gf just got a phillips sic4700/37 cam which you also have and her cdrom drive has died do you know wher i can download xp drivers for her?

Answer CD-ROM is the only place. Put the CD-ROM in a workable drive and copy them onto that computer's desktop. Send the drivers as a zip file (or alone) through email and open it up on her computer.
Or purchase a new CD-ROM drive- they're not that expensive.
