Question
I like to bake pound cakes and have always used a pan that is 10' at the top 8 1/2 at the bottom and 4" deep.  My wife insists that our friends simply will not eat a large cake.....have not been able to find quality small pan....maybe 1/2 the size of a regular pan.  I have found miniature, but not sure that would work for old fashioned pound cake.  Any help appreciated!

Answer
Hi There Andy,

You are a fantastic husband to accommodate your wife by seeking out what she wants.

Funny you should ask this question because I just saw the pans you are looking for at a Bed, Bath, and Beyond Store. They are larger than Mini Pans and smaller than standard pans.

Remember to check baking times, as small loaves bake quicker. If you are unable to find them, there are many "kitchen gadget" stores online who are sure to have them in stock and ready to ship!

You may also want to consider "dressing up" individual slices by using garnishes such as; fruit, fresh herbs, syrup, or edible flowers.

Hope this helps,
