Question
what is the history behind the chocolate spoon cake?

Answer
Hi Dena,

I can not find any history on The Chocolate Spoon Cake. Is there another name it might be recognized by?

I have found a few people who believe they are the inventors on the spoon cake and call it an invention based upon necessity. Perhaps when a cake recipe did not give the results expected, they became creative as to how they would use a cake that was otherwise unusable.

I wish I could be a better resource for you, but my searches inside and outside my personal files yielded nothing for a history of the Chocolate Spoon Cake.

Wishing you the best,

Micki
