Question hi,
i am very much an amateur and have questions about storing photos on my laptop. i have accumulated many photographs which are stored on my laptop and i think it is slowing my computer down. is there a way to compress photos before loading them onto a disc without having to buy software to do so? thank you.
Answer I can not recommend a compression method because you should never compress your files. You should buy an external hard drive to store your data. I do not know what kind of files you are working with, but compression is very dangerous for the longevity of your data. If you compress the data and want to retrieve it in 10 years...there may be no program to read it.
If you have any questions about ways to export and store your files, feel free to ask.
