Question
Hello Scott,
I purchased a ziga 7 inch wide screen LCD digital picture/photo frame and am having trouble displaying photos from my Kodak C613 camera.  I've tried adjusting both camera and photo frame settings ie. formatting the card, changing resolution, switching cards etc...  The photos do show up on the screen, but they are poor in quality, you can hardly tell what they are.  I know the frame works as I can display photos from a Canon Powershot A75 camera.  I would appreciate any help you could give.  Thank you.
Donna

Answer
Hi Donna,

Well, you've stumped me. I checked out issues related to all three products, and can't find anything to give me any clues. Here are some additional things you can try:

Resize your images to 640x480 using an image editor (Photoshop, Picasa, or any other image editor should be able to do this for you)

Copy your images to a Compact Flash card. Your Canon A75 uses CF, while the Kodak uses SecureDigital (SD). If you are using the SD card straight from your camera, that may be the issue - just copy your images to your computer, then copy back to a CF card. I recommend that you purchase a spare CF card if this works, so that you have a backup, and dedicated one to your camera, and one to the frame.

Other than that, I can only point you to the Ziga support link:

http://www.zigausa.com/support.htm

I would start by sending them an email describing the problem and your solutions exactly as you've given me. That should get you down the path. It may be that your frame's SD card reader is faulty, or that it needs to have the firmware updated. The support desk will be able to help you if that's the case.

Good luck - I wish I could have given you more help!

If there's anything else I can do, please don't hesitate to ask  =)

-Scott
