Subject: compact flash card

Question
My digital camera is a Samsung Digimax 130, which is about 5 years old.  The camera has a Compactflash Card slot, I don't know exactly what kind of Compactflash card I need because there are so many different kinds and the manual just says it is compatible with CF card.  This camera has 1.3mp and 8mb memory.  Can you tell me what size and brand I should get for more memory on this camera?

Answer
Thanks for your question, Sandy. I recommend SanDisk or Lexar brand Compact Flash cards from personal experience. You will need Type I (type one) CF cards, and I suggest you not get anything bigger than 256 or 512 as your camera many not see the card properly. Also, at 1.3M, you will get hundreds if not thousands of shots on a single card, which is always a hazard.

Be sure to empty your card frequently; you don't want to lose all those photos because one card failed!

-Scott
