Disability Law - Child support

Expert: Kyla Kelim - 8/4/2008

Question
I have a son that the father get a disability check for diabetes so he says and I am struggling I have other children besides his son and I want to know how can I get a check for child support

Answer
You need to contact social security and request it.  They may require you to take court action and then forward them the documents.  Your state's human resources agency should handle that for you.  I would start by calling social security:  1-800-772-1213.

I hope this helps,

Kyla Kelim
