Question
right now i'm on long term disability insurance and i would like to apply for SSDI. I don't know if i can get both of them. Do i need to apply for SSDI or i will loose my LTD if i'll be approved for SSDI.
thanks

Answer
Julie, it depends on your contract.  Often, you must apply for SSDI when you begin receiving LTD and you must pay back the money that LTD is paying you when you receive your backpay from SSDI.  Check with your insurance company to find out your obligations.
