Question
Hello again! You were so great answering my last question that I have another for you! By the way, I have got over some of anti-Miley feelings after your feedback!! Some, not all!!
Anyway, we will be staying at The Grand California from Oct 4th for 3 nights...my sister's treat! I can never afford it on my own! We have stayed there before and it is a gorgeous hotel but the location is the best catch! She has arranged a two bedroom suite for all of us...another WOW!
My question is how would you try to get a room with the best view of the park?! Would tipping the front desk agent upon check-in my best bet?? I have done that before in Vegas and it worked pretty well...but then, that's Vegas!
Are there any hidden secrets with this or will it be just what's available at that moment?!
Thank you again for your help!

Answer
Naomi,

Call ahead to request a room with a view of California Adventure.  Castmembers are not allowed to take tips (they must decline three times before taking it... company policy) and if they do take them, they have to report them, and it likely gets taxed.

Should you not get anything when you call, try the day you arrive at the hotel.  Upgrading to the concierge also has its perks too, as a good family friend of mine use to be a concierge at the hotel, and would bend over backwards for nice and kind guests.
