AboutSteve DizKahuna Expertise I can answer questions about Disneyland, California Adventure, Downtown Disney, restaurants and hotels of the Disneyland Resort, and local information (I`m also an expert in the California Category). I am also knowlegeable in Disneyland history and upcoming events. If you are coming to DLR with your family, I can give you some insight, since I have kids aged 6-23. If you have an attendance question, remember that predicting attendance is very tricky business, and I can only make my best guess based on past patterns. Hope to see you there!
Experience My family and I are annual passholders at the Disneyland Resort, and we go there about once per week. We, have eaten at every restaurant (even a few that are no longer open), and stayed at the hotels of the resort (even though we live 10 miles away). My wife and I have each been going to Disneyland since 1965.
Question Hi Steve -
I saw one of your comments from a few years back regarding the seating on rides at Disneyland. My husband and I have 3 year old triplets and we're trying to determine how difficult it would be to do disneyland by ourselves vs. w/ a 3rd adult. My question is really limited to the rides because I don't want to have to do a lot of musical chairs w/ my husband so that each child gets to go on a ride. For example, I know that Nemo, the Jungle Cruise, etc. are rides that won't be an issue because we can all sit together and ride on the same ride. However, how many of the rides for "little ones" only sit 2 people, such that we really would be better off having 3 adults - 1 for each child. I am certain they will not want to ride by themselves....
Answer Hi Renee,
I'm thinking that you could get by with 2 adults. Many reides, like Dumbo, will fit an adult and two toddlers. I even have a photo of my wife with our 3YO, who is larger than average, and I can see in the elephant behind them that a parent is with two kids. This will work on many rides: Rockets in Tomorrowland, Dumbo, Teacups, Pinocchio, Snow White, Mr. Toad, Peter Pan, etc. I've seen 3's on these rides many times. I believe you can even go 3 on Autopia. The only rides that have a hard 2-person limit would be roller coasters like Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain. And I'm not even 100% sure about Big Thunder, since it's a single lap bar for the seat. I believe it's not worth bringing an extra adult for the one or two rides that are limited. Besides, your kids probably aren't tall enough for those rides anyway.
